La Tavola Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

What La Tavola stores on your device

La Tavola stores your recipe collection, guest list, dinner party history, and food preferences locally on your iPhone. This data never leaves your device except as described below.

What is sent to external services

When you photograph a recipe or request wine pairing suggestions, the relevant content is sent to Anthropic (the makers of Claude) for processing. Recipe photos are used only to extract recipe text and are not stored by Anthropic beyond the processing request. La Tavola does not store your photos.

No guest information, food preferences, or dinner party data is ever sent to any external service.

Contacts

La Tavola requests access to your contacts solely to let you add guests from your existing contacts. Contact data is copied to the app's local database on your device. La Tavola does not upload, share, or transmit your contacts to any server.

Calendar

If you grant calendar access, La Tavola adds dinner party dates to your iPhone calendar. La Tavola reads calendar permission status only and does not access any existing calendar events.

Analytics and advertising

La Tavola collects no analytics, usage data, or advertising identifiers. There are no third-party analytics SDKs in the app.

Beta period

This version of La Tavola is a beta release distributed through Apple TestFlight. It is not available to the general public.
